A few weeks ago I’ve been going crazy about this new craze most Malaysians are so hyped about.
Thought it would be wise to check it out and so I did.
Went to the website and *boom* my eyes went wide, my pupils were dilated, my heart was beating and my wallet was crying.
(side track: its raining like mad in Adelaide. Just like how to rains in Kuala Lumpur, they also have thunderstorms here. So scary :( it feels like my roof is going to collapse soon.)
Everything there were so pretty, shiny, colourful and glittery. I have a soft spot for not only all things pink but also all things shinny and glittery.
oooooooooo shinyyyyy
Can you guess what it is?

No they’re not diamonds, though I wish they were but then again I am only a student.
Its Sereni&Shentel!
*Malaysian pride* Sereni&Shentel specialises in creating lovely headbands and the best part is, its MADE in BORNEO.
For those that do not know what or where Borneo is, Borneo is located in East Malaysia, where Sabah and Sarawak are. If I am not mistaken, I think Brunei is also considered as part of Borneo. I’m not 100% sure, I think you should Google it. I’m a bit lazy to do it myself. :p
Anyways back to MY new Headbands (yay!!!!) I purchased them last week for this year’s Dental Ball. I’m not going to Ball anymore, simply because of so many reasons. *pouts* Oh well at least I saved $80!!! Shall use that $80 for next year’s half BDS ball. *prays hard that I pass BDS2 so that I can be promoted to BDS3*
I will definitely be at the after party!
The headbands are not a waste since I have 3 more 21st Birthday Parties to attend. This brings me to the question:
1. Why are there SO MANY people born in August and September?
2. Why are there so many 1989?????

My parcel :) It was literally at my doorstep. The postman threw it over the gates and it happened to land right in front of the door. Despite the “Fragile” sticker on it, thank God it did not break.

Sereni&Shentel headband.
Left: Blair in Olive Grey
Right: Bown Down BITCHES in Silver
They’re so pretty I wanted to wear Blair in Olive Grey to my evening lab later at 5pm but I’m afraid I might dirty it, seeing that I accidentally got amalgam on my neck yesterday. I was cleaning my Frasaco model with the air syringe and some of the amalgam mixed with water sprayed off onto my lab coat and neck. No worries cus amalgam may be made out of mercury but it is safe to be inserted into a person’s teeth as a filling. Was thinking of wearing it tomorrow but I will be dissecting human cadavers tomorrow and I do not want my Blair to smell like Formaldehyde. I guess its appearance will just have to wait.

My headband collection here in Adelaide.

These 3 are now my favourites!!!!!
Wish someone could organise a Halloween party. I want to go as Marie!!!!
i’ve lots of headbands too! somehow i call them hairbands thou. (arent headbands like elasticity cloth u wear to hold ur fringe while u wash ur face?).
and a (lilo & ) Stitch one too! haha
Can I see your Stitch one please??? :)
I Googled it and they showed hairbands. I guess it can be called hairbands/headbands or head pieces (magazines) I don’t know haha but what ever it is they are pretty! Show me ur headband/hairbands collection.
Heyy Ceci!! I LOVE those hairbands! You suit them soo well, I find that I don’t always look so good in them…it must be my head shape or something!! Anyway, I’ve been stalking your blog for a while but haven’t gotten around to commenting til now! I like it a lot! Keep up the awesome blogging! xxx
Thanks Deborah!!!!!!!
Do come by often :) hehehe…
Thanks re: hairbands. I’m sure you’ll look good in them too. Get like a different type. A thinner band rather than a thick one? Try that!

OOh…you like headbands? Can I off load my stash to you to give away maybe? I can’t wear headbands cos I get headaches from them. So I’m hoping (when I have time) to make headbands that look like headbands but are not. Hope you know what i mean (no headache headbands) :)
Give away?? for free?? WHY?? u should keep them for future.. who knows maybe one day you won’t get headaches from headbands anymore. I used to get headaches from headbands as well but I’m under a prophylactic treatment for migraine which keeps headaches far far away :) Yea got what you mean bye non-headache inducing headbands. I guess you’ll have to use soft materials.
Hi Cecilia, I bought the exact same Blaire headband from S&S too!
I haven’t worn it yet cos it’s just too exquisite! Will put it on during
some special occassion :p
Btw, this is my 1st time reading ur blog. I got the link from S&S
tweets. Seems interesting… I’ll definitely read up all ur blogs when
I’m free.
Take care!
Hi Jane
*hi5* for having the same headband! I kindda gave up on saving it for something special. I’m just a student and have hardly anything special to go for.
I just pull it off with whatever I think looks good with it hehe!
Thanks for dropping by as well :)
You take care too!
